Congratulations: Mayo man earns Engineering award

Shane O'Toole (centre), son of Des and Joan O'Toole Madogue on receiving his award at The Engineering Technology Teachers Association National Conference held in Athenry, Co Galway recently. Shane received his award for taking first place in the Area 5 region (Mayo and Galway) for his project on "Water Generating Electricity and Renewables".

Congratulations are extended to Shane O’Toole, son of Des and Joan O’Toole, Madogue, on receiving his award at the Engineering Technology Teachers Association (ETTA) National Conference, which was held in Athenry, Co. Galway recently. 

Shane received the award for taking first place in the Area 5 region (Mayo and Galway) for his project on "Water Generating Electricity and Renewables". 

Shane had an interest in this field and took Technology as an extra subject for his Leaving Certificate. He is currently studying Mechanical Engineering at ATU, Galway.
