Ballina Gardaí catch motorist driving well above the speed limit

Ballina Gardaí were conducting patrols and checkpoints as part of An Garda Síochána's ongoing Road Safety Campaign to prevent and detect bad driving behaviour.
Last weekend, they detected a motorist travelling at 105kph in a 60kph zone.
They said, "Driving at this speed is not acceptable" and want motorists to "please drive within the speed limits".
The driver who was caught speeding has been issued with a Fixed Charge Penalty Notice and will receive 3 Penalty Points.
