ALERT: Weather warnings issued for Mayo this weekend

Met Éireann has advised that there will be very strong and gusty southerly winds together with spells of heavy rain.
Weather warnings will be in place for Mayo this weekend.
Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Wind and Rain warning for the county this Sunday.
The weather warning will come into effect at 2am on Sunday, February 23, and will be in place until 3pm the same day.

The county will also be under a Status Yellow Wind warning from 3pm on Sunday to 12am (midnight) on Monday, February 24.

Met Éireann has advised that there will be very strong and gusty southerly winds together with spells of heavy rain.
Possible Impacts include difficult travelling conditions, localised flooding, fallen trees/loose debris and poor visibility.
Galway, Leitrim and Sligo are also included in these weather warnings.
