Met Éireann has issued a weather warning update amid the arrival of Storm Darragh this evening.

The Status Orange Wind warning is now valid from 8pm tonight (Friday, December 6) until 10am tomorrow (Saturday, December 7).
Met Éireann says Storm Darragh will bring very strong and gusty northwest winds.
Impacts include fallen trees, damage to power lines, very difficult travelling conditions, damage to temporary structures and wave overtopping.

Two Status Yellow warnings will also be in place for Mayo from today.
A Status Yellow Rain warning will be valid from 10am this morning until 10am tomorrow while a Status Yellow Wind warning is in place for the entire country from 3pm today until 3pm tomorrow.
