Seán Keane resumes Westport residency

Sean Keane

Well-known Irish folk artist Seán Keane started his eighth summer residency at Westport Town Hall Theatre last Wednesday evening.

Following sell-out runs since 2016, Seán is now a staple of the summer in Westport. For ten Wednesday nights throughout July, August and into September, the theatre will come alive with the traditional Irish, folk and even country and blues songs that all lend themselves to his unique style and unforgettable voice.

Seán, from County Galway, was described as the "greatest musical find of the '90s" by the London Independent, and if last Wednesday's concert is anything to go by, it is going to be a great summer once again. Seán will be joined on stage by Fergal Scahill and Fergus Feely, both immensely gifted musicians in their own right.

While there are generally tickets for Seán Keane (and friends) available on the day, some of these shows sell out, so they are best booked in advance by going to the theatre website at www.westporttheatre.com or call the box office on 098-28459.
