Mulloy debuts new single '1993'

The cover for Enda Mulloy's new single '1993'.

Nevin’s motorbike went over the stop sign

Sent Aron flying

Nijinski made the drink

And Sean he left Sheena crying

What were we to think

David filled the boat

The smell of the fish feed still haunts me

Slinger and the Geek

Asahi at his peak

It was the summer days of 1993

He might be longer living in London but Mulranny has never left the soul of Enda Mulloy. You can deduce that much from the lyrics of his latest single ‘1993’, drawing upon his experiences of that year.

A teenager then, Mulloy has gone since forged a formidable career as a bassist and singer, completing no fewer than 10 tours of the US with Celtic rock group The BibleCode Sundays who he co-founded shortly after emigrating to London.

It’s a career that has seen him share stages with Van Morrison, Elvis Costello, Russell Crowe and The Cranberries, and even Rock royalty Sting has invited him to play in scratch-bands at his private parties.

Mulranny native Enda Mulloy will release his second solo album in 2025.
Mulranny native Enda Mulloy will release his second solo album in 2025.

But penning his first solo album ‘Notions in Midlife Crisis’ during the Covid lockdown has demonstrated Enda’s penchant for writing big anthemic songs, just like the catchy 1993, which will form part of Enda's second solo album which will be released in 2025.

Superbly produced by Michael Smith and released on Marquee Records on September 4, the song is available for download on all the usual platforms.
