Free legendary Mayo music festival to host huge selection of live acts

With the epic backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and rugged coastline, the scene is set for an enormous weekend of festivities.
The annual Healyfest in Ballycastle is set for yet another fantastic August bank holiday weekend. The festival, which is celebrating its 20th year in existence, will deliver its best ever weekend of live music and craic in the north Mayo beauty spot.
The legendary music festival will run from the 1st to the 4th of August this year, with a great variety of acts confirmed and more to be announced closer to the big weekend.
Event organiser Pat 'Smiler' Mitchell, owner of host venue Healy's Bar, Ballycastle, said there is huge interest from around the region and beyond; "We have a great selection of live acts confirmed including Gorilla Radio, Southbound, Burbon Smoke, Devil's Cadillac, Tommy Maloney, Buck Taylor, Madra and Buzzed with more great acts to be announced. It's shaping up to be a fantastic weekend of music!".
The great news is that Healyfest continues to be a free event with free camping and no admission fee, which is very rare in a time of exorbitant ticket prices for live music concerts and festivals.
A new extended patio area and a big tent are in place for festival-goers, ensuring lots of space and comfort, with full bar facilities and food served on-site.
