For many, the coming weekend marks the true beginning of Christmas party season – and it’s shaping up to be a big one at The Cot & Cobble in Ballina.
For anyone looking for an alternative to a night on the sofa watching The Toy Show – after all, the show will be repeated on RTÉ One on Sunday afternoon – they could do worse than get along to the renowned riverside venue on Friday night and catch two superb acts.
Making their Cot & Cobble debut are top Celtic rock band . One of the most sought after Celtic rock bands on the UK circuit, have and continue to pack out some of the most renowned Irish venues across England – and are no strangers to these shores either, playing everywhere from Dublin to Galway, Kerry to Antrim, and all points between.
The four piece add their own unique twist to everything from The Dubliners, The Pogues, The Waterboys, Goats Don’t Shave and The Wolfe Tones, with even some Indie-Irish covers of Oasis, The Stone Roses and The Verve thrown in for devilment.

take to the stage at 10.30pm and following their set, legendary Ballina DJ, Dermot Rice, will be spinning the discs with his usual energy and enthusiasm until closing.
