Young Ballina girl donating her hair for a wonderful cause
Kayleigh Donaghey will cut her hair for the Laura Lynn Locks of Love charity initiative
A brave and generous young Ballina girl will cut and donate her hair for charity.
Nine-year-old Kayleigh Donaghey has decided to cut 12 inches of her hair as part of the Laura Lynn Locks of Love initiative.
Proud parents Lucy and John said their daughter regularly attends Crumlin Hospital for treatment for juvenile arthritis and meeting sick children there has inspired her to help make a different in their lives.
Kayleigh held another fundraiser for juvenile arthritis, which was very successful and raised €800 for the very worthy cause.
“Kayleigh is a brilliant girl. She attends Crumlin and sees sick kids up there, kids who are going through cancer treatment," said mum Lucy.
“She asked questions about their hair and after looking into this initiative, she said she’d love to cut her own hair to help out.”
Visit Kayleigh Donaghey’s fundraising page on idonate.ie to find out more and to make a donation to her cause. All funds raised will go towards supporting Laura Lynn - Ireland's Children's Hospice.
