Mayo pub to offer pensioners rates for pints
The offer for pensioners starts tomorrow at the bar
A Mayo pub has decided to offer a special pensioners rate for pints.
Cannons Bar in Castlebar is rolling out the initiative from tomorrow with all pints of lager and stout priced at €5 for pensioners.
“You’ve enough to contend with heating your homes – let us help a little bit with the libations,” said the pub in a post on social media.
Cannons re-opened earlier this year after being closed for 37 years.
Established in 1905, the pub was known as. ‘The Academy’, given its status as a meeting spot for lively debate.
