Woman rescued after falling and breaking wrist in remote Mayo area

On June 15, the Mayo Mountain Rescue team was tasked by An Garda Síochána to assist a woman who had fallen and broken her wrist.
She was walking with a guided group in a very remote part of the Nephin Mountain range, known as the Glendahurk Horseshoe.
The rescue team was dispatched, located the woman, provided emergency care and treatment and helped the woman to walk off the mountain safely.
Mayo Mountain Rescue wished the woman a speedy and full recovery.
