West of Ireland counties to be hit by weather warning today

Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow rain warning for Mayo which will be in place from today.

The weather warning will be valid from 3pm today, Thursday, October 24, until 3am on Friday, October 25.

Heavy and persistent rain is expected while possible impacts include localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.

Galway, Sligo, Clare and Limerick will also be under the yellow rain warning.
