Well-known North Mayo café announces closure

A north Mayo café is to close its doors at the start of next month.

The owners of Mags’ Place in Ballycastle have announced it is to close in November on social media.

Mags’ Place has been a popular Wild Atlantic Way destination serving home cooked food and baked goods on Main Street of the north Mayo village.

“Many thanks for all your support over the past 2 years, especially to all our loyal customers. It was much appreciated,” said the owners.

“As our lease comes to end, we regret to let you know that Sunday November 1st will be our last day in operation.”

They have informed customers they will be open as usual on Friday and Saturday from 10am-3pm and on Sunday’s form 10.30am-3pm in the meantime.

“We look forward to continuing to serve you over the coming weekends.”
