Update following Ballina water disruption

Uisce Éireann has thanked Ballina customers for their patience while they carried out essential repair works overnight.
A normal water supply has been restored to the majority of customers. However, due to a water main burst on Cathedral Road in the early hours of this morning, some customers are experiencing a disruption to their supply.
Crews are on the ground carrying out repairs to return a normal water supply to Clare Street, Howley Terrace, Bunree Road and surrounding areas as quickly as possible.
Uisce Éireann’s Colette Scahill explained that the overnight works, which were essential to secure the drinking water supply for the area, resulted in a burst further down the water main but assured customers that crews are on the ground this morning fixing the burst.
“Uisce Éireann acknowledges the inconvenience caused by interruptions to the water supply and we very much appreciated the co-operation of our customers while we work to fix the burst and return a normal water supply to all homes and businesses.”
Uisce Éireann is committed to keeping customers informed across multiple platforms 24/7 and we encourage customers to engage with us through our website, X channels @IWCare and @IrishWater, on Facebook and LinkedIn and through our customer care helpline which is open 24/7 on 1800 278 278.
