Tributes paid to Mayo GAA club stalwart following her passing
Joan served as secretary of Castlebar Mitchels Bord na nÓg, giving outstanding service to the club over many years.
Tributes have been paid following the passing of Joan (Mary) Feeney, née Neary, Knockthomas Drive, Castlebar and formerly of Bonniconlon.
She died in Mayo University Hospital following a short illness.
Predeceased by her parents Madeline and John and her brothers Brendan and Cyril.
Sadly missed by her heartbroken husband Jimmy and her children Fiona (O’Malley, James, Westport), Edel (partner David Gordon), Emmet (partner Ali Lowe, Toronto, Canada), and Niall (partner Ciara Flynn, Navan), grandchildren Donagh, Maebh, Quinn, Eoin, Tadhg and Rían, brothers Joe, Nathy, Jarlath, Peter and Vincent, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

The club said her passing has "evoked feelings of great loss and sadness in the community."
