A three vehicle collision has occurred this afternoon on the N17 outside Killkelly.
A three vehicle collision has occurred this afternoon on the N17 outside Killkelly.
A number of people sustained injuries and were taken from the scene to Mayo University Hospital.
The collision occurred just after 3pm, at Cloonturk, between Kilkelly and the turn off for Kiltimagh.
Gardaí say the road is passable, but drivers are advised to approach the area with due caution this evening.
The crashed vehicles are expected to be cleared within the next hour, at approximately 6pm.
