Taoiseach to visit Swinford during Mayo trip this weekend

Taoiseach Simon Harris will make a swift stop in Swinford during his visit to Mayo this Sunday, June 2.

Antoinette Peyton, who is contesting the Swinford Local Electoral Area for Fine Gael, announced that the Taoiseach will be outside Mellett's Emporium on Market Street at approximately 2.10pm for about 30 minutes.

Harris will also open the new Colm Horkan Memorial Pitch in Charlestown during his first official visit to Mayo as Taoiseach.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 1pm while there will be GAA games in action over the course of the day.
