Suspected drink driver caught speeding on busy Mayo road

Gardaí from the Mayo Roads Policing Unit carried out speed checkpoints on the N17 as part of the extra traffic travelling towards Donegal for the rally last weekend.
One of the drivers who was detected for speeding was also arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
Another one of the drivers detected speeding also had no insurance and had their vehicle impounded.
Gardaí have urged motorists not to speed or drive in a dangerous manner, and to have their documentation in order.
