Storm Ashley: When the Mayo weather warnings take effect

The storm will bring very strong and gusty southerly winds, coupled with high spring tides.
Two wind warnings have been issued for Mayo and Galway this Sunday, October 20 amid Storm Ashley.
A Status Yellow Wind Warning will be in effect from 6am Sunday until 12am on Monday, October 21st, while a Status Orange Wind Warning will be in effect from 12pm Sunday until 9pm on the same day.
The storm will bring very strong and gusty southerly winds, coupled with high spring tides.
Possible impacts include:
- Coastal flooding
- Large coastal waves
- Loose objects displaced
- Fallen trees
- Very difficult travelling conditions, dangerous conditions at sea
- Damage to power lines, power outages
- Damage to already weakened structures
