Search for Roscommon woman stood down after body found

The search for a Roscommon woman who had been missing since last Friday has been stood down following the discovery of a body.
Niamh Hand (41) was reported missing from her home in Roosky since Friday. Gardai stood down a search after locating a body on Saturday.

A garda spokesperson said: ‘Following the discovery of a woman’s body earlier today, the missing person appeal for Niamh Hand, 41 years, has been stood down.
‘We would like to thank the media and public for their assistance in this matter.’
