The Lagoon Activity Centre has released the results of a new study ranking Ireland's top sea swimming beaches, coinciding with National Water Safety Awareness Week.
The study examined a range of factors, including average temperature and rainfall to determine the best spots for a refreshing dip in the sea.
The top three sea swimming beaches in Ireland, according to the study, are Killiney in Co. Dublin, Inch Beach in Co. Kerry, and Portmarnock Beach, also in Co. Dublin.
Galway's Silverstrand Beach ranked fourth on the list while Mayo's Keem Beach (15th) and Keel Beach "20th) of Achill Island were in the top 20.
Enniscrone Beach (Sligo) came in 21st spot.
