Prestigious double award triumph for Mayo legal firm
P O'Connor & Son, and managing director Samantha Geraghty are celebrating another awards success.
A Mayo legal firm is celebrating a major success in the annual Irish Law Awards 2024.
Swinford-based P O’Connor & Son, scooped the accolade of Law Firm of the Year 2024 (Regional Connaught/Ulster).
There was a double success as Managing Partner, Samantha Geraghty was named Practitioner of the Year (Regional Connaught Ulster).
The annual Irish Law Awards aim to recognise excellence in Ireland’s legal profession.
The 2024 Dye & Durham Irish Law Awards Winners were revealed at a gala awards ceremony in the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road, Dublin, hosted by Ivan Yates.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms Geraghty said the latest awards could be attributed to the “tremendous efforts of the entire team at the firm.”
Ms Geraghty is a former recipient of the Irish Language Practitioner of the Year award.
The Irish Law Awards aim to identify, honour and publicise outstanding achievements, while also recognising those who have dedicated their lives to serving in the legal profession.
The annual event is designed to recognise excellence in the legal profession in Ireland, commending the achievements of lawyers.

Among the many accolades secured by the firm over the decades was the Quality Mark for services and the Irish Quality Association’s National Award for services.The firm was the first in Mayo to achieve these awards.
