Popular Mayo restaurant set to close

A popular restaurant in east Mayo will be closing its doors next month.

Susie's Bistro, based in Charlestown, will be closed from the end of February. In a statement on their Facebook page, the decision was out of their hands despite the best efforts made.

The restaurant will continue to do outside catering for the remainder of 2024 and have encouraged anyone who has a voucher to use it by February 14.

"At this stage we don't know what the future holds for Susie's Bistro but watch this space!
"A huge thank you to our wonderful staff and customers whom have been so loyal to us," the statement concluded.
