The 2026 RiverFest in Foxford has been cancelled.

The Foxford RiverFest Crew announced the decision this morning (Tuesday).

The riverside festival was scheduled to be happening in late August, but the crew have stated the cancelation was due to circumstances beyond their control.

The good news is that there will still be a chance for everyone to come together, as the memorable Candles to the Sea event will still go ahead on August 21. This will be a special occasion for the community to celebrate the sentimental experience of sending the homemade candles down The River Moy.

The crew wishes to thank the committee, and everyone involved in the planning for this year’s festival. They expressed the wish that next years’ festival will be bigger and better than ever and will ‘no doubt be a mighty asset in 2027 and beyond’.
