McHugh’s Café has recently opened its doors to a new location in Newport, Co Mayo.

The coffee chain already has several locations across the West of Ireland, with the first opening in 1952. These include Ballinrobe, Headford, Castlebar, Claremorris, Cong, Westport, Ballyhaunis and now Newport.

Their aim, across all their cafés, is to offer a warm and welcoming environment for all customers. They do this through their relaxed and friendly staff and atmosphere.

Quality coffee and tea can be served with their signature menu items, which have proved to be very successful across all branches. The menu is varied, with sweet items such as baked goods and pastries, but also savoury dishes. Soups, sandwiches and salads are just some of the popular meals that attract customers.

Newport receives many tourists during this summer season through the Wild Atlantic Way, while workers at McHugh’s believe their café best reflects the local character of their town, and they wish to share this with any guests that may visit the area.

The chain has an average rating of 4.6/5 on TripAdvisor, which has proven it to be a very popular business in the West.
