Tributes paid to 'a wonderful neighbour'

Warm tributes have been paid following the passing of a Moygownagh man.

Timmy Kelly, Garranard, Moygownagh passed away on Wednesday last, July 24.

Moygownagh GAA posted the following tribute to Timmy: “All associated with Moygownagh GAA are deeply saddened by the passing of Timmy Kelly.”

“Timmy was a very popular and hard-working family man and was a very good neighbour and friend to many.”

“Acknowledged by all as a very skilled operator of farm machinery and diligent farmer, his passing has been met with shock and sadness by all who knew him within the community.”

Another tribute to Timmy said: "He was a wonderful neighbour a good friend, who always enjoyed the chat. He was a kind, gentle, hardworking man who was always willing to lend a hand. He had a great passion for all types of Machinery and skilfully drove many in his day."

Predeceased by his father Gerry. Deeply mourned by his loving wife Teresa, his family Rachel, Rory and Alva, mother Vera, sister Peggy Holmes, brother in law Josie, father in law Padraic, mother in law Bridie, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

His funeral took place at the weekend at St Cormac’s Church, Moygownagh followed by burial in Killeen New Cemetery, Attymass.
