John Comer is in line to become the new manager of the Mayo U17 football team.
The job became vacant after Diarmuid Byrne stepped away after one year at the helm, and following the conclusion of what Mayo GAA has described as a "thorough recruitment process", the Management Appointment Committee has recommended to the Coiste Bainistí of Mayo GAA that John Comer be put forward for ratification as manager of the Mayo U17 team.
John has served a variety of roles with Claremorris GAA Club.
The recommendation will be presented to delegates at the November meeting of Coiste Chontae for ratification.
