Elderly Mayo woman who died in N17 road collision named locally

An elderly Mayo woman who died in a road traffic collision on the N17 on Tuesday last has been named locally.
Teresa Sweeney (née Hegarty), 80s, from Treenagleragh, Kiltimagh, was a passenger in a car which was involved in the collision with two other vehicles at Gortnagunned, Milltown, Co Galway.
Mrs Sweeney has been described as a gentle soul and a fun loving lady.
Predeceased by her husband Paddy, sister Mary, brothers Mick and John. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Margaret, son-in-law Jerome, her sisters Peg Loftus (Sligo), Anne Caestecker (USA), her brothers Andy (Ballymote), Jimmy (Aclare), brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Teresa will repose in O'Hora's Funeral Home, Kiltimagh tomorrow evening from 6pm until 8pm, arriving in the Church of the Holy Family, Kiltimagh at 8.15pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday at 12 noon followed by Cremation in Shannon Crematorium.
