Former Oasis member Noel Gallagher was quick to reference his Irish background in a BBC interview last Sunday.
Following Manchester City's historic fourth Premier League title triumph, Gallagher was asked if he cared about how in-form City attacker Phil Foden plays for England at the upcoming European Championships in Germany.
"I'm not an England fan, I'm Irish" the musician replied to the interviewer's question while standing on the Etihad Stadium surface, concluding the clip by saying "good night".

Noel's mother, Peggy, hails from Charlestown in Mayo and emigrated to Manchester at the age of eighteen before she raised her three sons - Paul, Noel and Liam.
Since departing Oasis in 2009, resulting in the split of the band, Noel formed the High Flying Birds while his brother Liam is now a solo artist.
Liam is touring Ireland this summer, which includes dates at Dublin's 3Arena and Limerick's Thomond Park.
