New traffic lights 'very welcome news' for Mayo town

Cllr Annie May Reape has welcomed the installation of new traffic lights at Bunree in Ballina.

“This is very welcome news for Ballina and road users coming from the Sligo, Quay and Bunree areas. These lights have posed a significant problem for quite a long time and I am delighted that the works are now complete, including resurfacing at Lower Bunree.

"Overall, these works should help to alleviate traffic issues in the area and in the town. New lights are also being installed at The Font in the coming weeks and when they too become operational, I am hopeful that we will see a big improvement in traffic flow."
