New Mayo speed cameras to become operational today

The Average Safety Camera systems in place on the N5 – installed between Lislackagh and Cuilmore, Swinford - will go operational today - Friday 25th October 2024.
Vehicles detected driving in excess of the 100km/h posted speed limit will be subject to prosecution from 12:00md Friday 25th October 2024.
Prosecution of speeding offences take place by Fixed Charge Notice. The current Fixed Charge Notice is €160 fine accompanied by 3 penalty points.
