To ensure church services continue in both Bonniconlon and Attymass churches when either priest is unavailable, a new Mass timetable will come into effect from the first Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2024, in both parishes.

COMMUNITY NOTES: NORTH MAYO - WESTERN PEOPLE (NOVEMBER 26 EDITION)

To ensure church services continue in both Bonniconlon and Attymass churches when either priest is unavailable, a new Mass timetable will come into effect from the first Sunday of Advent, December 1, 2024, in both parishes. The Saturday evening vigil Mass in Bonniconlon will take place at 6.30pm and the Sunday morning Mass will be at 11am. All Holy Day Masses will also be at 11am.

When either priest is absent only the Saturday evening vigil Mass will take place in the parish of the absent priest. Funeral Masses will be at either 11am or 2pm depending on whether the other church has a funeral the same day. The first funeral Mass to be booked will take place at 11am. Weekday morning or evening Masses will remain at 9.30am and 7pm. respectively. There will be no weekday morning or evening Mass in the parish of the absent priest. Intentions booked for cancelled weekday morning and evening Masses will be transferred to the weekend Saturday vigil Mass or the Sunday morning Mass.
