During National Slow Down Day, which was from 7am on Thursday (November 7) to 7am on Friday (November 8), a motorist in Mayo was caught speeding.

The driver was driving at 72km/h in a 60km/h zone on the L1331 Lowpark Charlestown Mayo.

An Garda Síochána thanked drivers for their compliance during ‘National Slow Down Day’, making Irish roads safer for all road users.
