Mayo weather: Forecast for the coming days

Met Éireann has provided their weather forecast for the coming days in Mayo...

Tuesday (December 3) will be mostly dry throughout the morning with early sunny spells before outbreaks of rain extend from the west with heavy rainfall possible. There will be a chance of sleet on high ground in the north. Sunny spells and isolated showers will move in from the west during the afternoon as the rain clears eastwards from most areas by the evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees. Southeasterly winds will be moderate but strong at times near coasts and will veer northwesterly as the rain clears.

Wednesday (December 4) will see a dry and bright morning followed by outbreaks of rain extending eastwards. The afternoon will see strong and gusty southerly winds with gales near some coasts. Highest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees. Throughout the night, the winds will veer westerly and ease slightly, but the rain will remain persistent.
