Mayo pub shares stunning images of Northern Lights

The Village Inn in Killala has shared these amazing photos of the Northern Lights on their social media. The Northern Lights made a rare appearance in the skies over Mayo last night.

It is the second time in a few short months that the Aurora Borealis has appeared in our skies but sightings of the Northern Lights in this part of the world are not typical.

Ideal weather and geomagnetic conditions brought the atmospheric sensation into view last night, and there was a stunning view over the village of Killala in north Mayo.
