Mayo national schools announce amalgamation
COMMUNITY NOTES: CLAREMORRIS - WESTERN PEOPLE (JUNE 18 EDITION)
It has been announced that Claremorris' Muire Gan Smál Primary School will amalgamate with Claremorris Boys School and become known as ‘Claremorris National School’ this coming September.
The current Muire Gan Smál Primary School principal, Grace Burke, will retain her role in the new amalgamation.
Muire Gan Smál Primary School said in a statement: “The name may be changing but the love and care we have for the pupils who pass through our doors will remain the same.”
