Mayo librarian to retire after 45 years service

A Mayo librarian is to retire this Friday (tomorrow) after almost 45 years working in her post.
Maureen Gallagher started with Mayo County Library as branch librarian in Crossmolina library in 1980 and almost 45 years later, is getting ready to say her goodbyes.
Maureen’s last working day in Crossmolina will be this Friday and the Library has said everyone is welcome to wish Maureen well and mark the day. The library is open from 11am to 4pm.
Maureen is wished well in retirement by friends, colleagues and generations of readers and library users in the Crossmolina area.
