Mayo company celebrates 60 years in business
The successful furniture store in Mayo celebrated the milestone.
On November 1, McDermott's of Spencer Street, Castlebar, turned 60 years old.
The following week, on November 7, the successful furniture store in Mayo celebrated the milestone.
Friends, family and patrons were invited to attend a party in the store. Attendees enjoyed finger food from Cafe Rua as they browsed through the exclusive discounts.
Professional chef Sarah Butler led a cooking demonstration and Margaret Routledge hosted a brief lecture about interior design.
McDermott’s was founded in 1964 by the late Michael and Eileen McDermott. The business is now run by their son, Michéal, and daughter, Michelle.
