COMMUNITY NOTES: SWINFORD - WESTERN PEOPLE (OCTOBER 29 EDITION)
The community in Bohola gathered at the weekend for the official opening of a new walkway, named ‘Micksey’s Way’. The new link path connects Bohola NS to the Durcan Bohola Community Park and is dedicated to the late Micksey Clarke.
Fr. Stephen O’Mahoney blessed the path, which is a wonderful addition to the community’s amenities, providing a safe path for local schoolchildren and other users. Guests at the opening celebrations included Minister Dara Calleary and Alan Dillon and Deputy Rose Conway-Walsh. Councillors Neil Cruise and Adrian Forkan also supported the project.
Bohola Community Park has extended thanks to the Diocese of Achonry, the Clarke family and to the O’Neill family for generously donating the land to make this section of the project possible.
