Cllr Patsy O’Brien told last week’s meeting of Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District that there was a bridge in Robeen that “is ready to fall into the river”.
“No funding was made available for it despite several requests; meanwhile, a parapet wall in Roundfort that I complained about last year, has since fallen down. Nothing is being done and we are certainly getting no money for bridges.
“I am making a passionate appeal [to council management] that you make the strongest representation for bridge repairs in this county.”
