Man who died in Mayo road tragedy has been named

The man in his 30s' who died in the fatal road traffic collision involving a car and a lorry in Claremorris yesterday evening has been named.

The driver of the car, Sean Maye from Tubbercurry, was fatally injured in the collision on the N17 at Corbally around 5:20pm on Monday, 25th November 2024.
No other injuries were reported.
The road reopened to traffic this afternoon after a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators took place this morning.
Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward. Gardaí are also appealing for any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) who were travelling in the area at the time of the collision to make this footage available to them.

Sean will be reposing in the Morahan Funeral Home, Tubbercurry this Wednesday evening from 5 o'clock until 7 o'clock. Funeral on Thursday to arrive in St John Evangelist Church, Tubbercurry for requiem Mass at 11.30 o'clock with the burial afterwards in Rhue Cemetery.
