Major investment in Mayo's communities announced

€685,824 will be allocated to 10 community projects in Mayo under the 2025 CLÁR programme with an additional €60,914 to support projects on the county’s offshore islands.

The funding announcement of €12.3 million nationally was announced last Friday during Minister for Rural and Community Development and the Gaeltacht Dara Calleary’s visit to Kiltimagh/Knock United last Friday.

The east Mayo soccer club are among the successful CLÁR applicants and have been been allocated €50,594 for the development of a spectator stand.

Minister Calleary said CLÁR continues to provide vital support in some of the most remote rural areas.
