Learner driver in Ballina detected two times over speed limit during bank holiday weekend

An Garda Síochána had a Roads Policing Operation in place since 7am on Thursday 24th October 2024 for the bank holiday weekend.
During the weekend, Gardaí in Ballina detected an unaccompanied learner driver travelling at 119kph in a 60kph zone.
In a social post, they said: "This behaviour is not only not acceptable this weekend, it's never acceptable.
"Please respect other road users, slow down and drive within the speed limits."
