Keep your eyes peeled for an iconic figure 'visiting' Mayo today

A bear-y special visitor is coming to Mayo this afternoon.

A statue of the iconic character Paddington Bear will be in Westport this afternoon, one of 23 locations across the UK and Ireland where you will be able to take a selfie with a statue of the marmalade sandwich loving bear.

The statue of Paddington will be at the Fairgreen in Westport.

It is part of a special ‘Paddington Visits’ trail that has been created to celebrate the upcoming release of the third installment in the popular ‘Paddington’ movie series, ‘Paddington in Peru.’
