Irish beach holidays: These Connacht locations have earned a Blue Flag for 2024

An Taisce (The National Trust for Ireland) has announced their International Blue Flag beneficiaries for 2024.

The Blue Flag is obtained by beaches and marinas that have displayed high environmental standards and good hygiene.

Among the 94 recipients, 23 places across Connacht were named on the prestigious list.

Among the highlights is the announcement that Enniscrone Beach in County Sligo has earned its first Blue Flag since 2014.
