Imminent start date confirmed for 'overdue' Ballina works

Cllr Mark Duffy has confirmed that repairs to lighting at the Ham Bridge in Ballina will commence next Wednesday by Mayo based contractor Electric Skyline.

The works entail the use of specialised hoists due to the location being on the bridge.

"The works here are welcome and long overdue. I have been advocating for the repair of the lighting in this location over the past number of months."

These works come on the back of recent restoration works that were completed on the Augustinian Abbey which Cllr. Duffy had worked on with the Mayo County Council Heritage Office.
