Sean McGing of Westport DSU has hung up his postman boots after 44 years of service with An Post in the Westport postal area.
The Ayle man was involved in every facet of postal life - most notably his long tenure in the local union where many transformations took place.
Both current and former postal colleagues turned up today to wish Sean a long and happy retirement.
