Great sadness following passing of north Mayo man

There is great sadness in the Crossmolina and Knockmore communities following the passing of Mícheál Butler, Deerpark, Crossmolina and formerly of Gortnadreha, Knockmore.
Mícheál passed away in UCH Galway after a short illness.

Mícheál was a founding director of OMD Design, a Ballina-based engineering firm. The company shared the following tribute to Míchéal.
“The 'M' in OMD, Micheál was a true perfectionist, generous with his time and his vast expertise. He will be remembered as a true gentleman, a man that had a smile and a good word for everybody he met, both in his private life and at work.”
“Micheál will be deeply missed by all of us that had the pleasure of working with him.”
He is sadly missed by his wife Síle and daughters Leah & Ciara. Deeply mourned by his loving parents Michael & Mary, brothers Jonathan, Darragh, Seamus & Mark. Greatly missed by his mother in law, sisters in laws, brothers in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, colleagues & many friends.
Remains reposing at Hiney’s Funeral Home, Crossmolina this Sunday evening from 3pm to 6pm. Requiem Mass in St Tiernan’s Church, Crossmolina on Monday at 1pm with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery.
