An 8.3-acre site formerly earmarked for a hotel has come to the market in Ballyhaunis.
Offered by Cushman Wakefield, the site is described as “zoned town centre” and identified as an “opportunity Site” with “potential for a residential and mixed-use development”.
Access to the land, at the rear of Aldi, is via Main Street. The site was promoted during the Celtic Tiger period by Midtown Developments as the location of a new hotel, with an architect’s vision of the site still visible on a fading local billboard.
Part of the original site was purchased by Aldi for the construction of its supermarket, opened in 2023.
No price has been published for the site, which also borders St Patrick’s Church.
