Five Mayo clubs to receive significant funding

Alan Dillon TD has welcomed the news that Mayo clubs will benefit from the Community Sports Facilities Fund Appeals.

In a social post, Dillon said: "Great news for Mayo clubs on the Community Sports Facilities Fund Appeals today. Well done to the clubs and organisations below who have been awarded €521,940 today, to help with equipment, infrastructure, and facilities.

"Investment in our local sporting facilities is key to improving the lives of our young people in our rural towns and villages."

The Mayo clubs to benefit from the funding are:

Achill Boxing Club - €18,896

Ballina Boxing Club - €382,429

Ballyhaunis Golf Club - €95,440

Castlebar Golf Club - €16,985

Lacken Community Care - €8,190
